(2)Promoting hydropower development on Nam Hka and Nam Lwe Rivers
CSG has been actively promoting hydropower development in Myanmar since 2007, and signed MOU (memorandum of understanding) with the Myanmese Ministry of Electric Power (MOEP) for hydropower development on the Nam Hka and Nam Lwe Rivers. Nam Hka River is one of the main tributaries of the Salween River in Myanmar. The pre-designed installed capacity for the drainage totaled 210 MW, and static investment, USD 303 million. Nam Lwe River is the main tributary of the Mekong that originates at Mang Dong in the north of Laba Township of Lancang Lahu Autonomous County, Yunnan Province, People’s Republic of China. The hydropower project would be developed at four cascades. The pre-designed installed capacity amounted to 613 MW, and the static investment, USD 1.03 billion.

(3)Hydropower (Plant) Projects in Nepal and other neighboring countries
Nepal is rich in hydropower resources and shows great potential for development. In response to the B&R Initiative, YNIC actively explored the Nepalese power market. It initially targeted at two hydropower projects while seeking investment and development opportunities for other projects. In addition, YNIC intensified efforts for overseas market development and vigorously searched for greenfield investment opportunities in countries along the Belt and Road.
